Bio

Out of Control takes its name from U2’s first single, released in 1979. These four talented Atlanta-based musicians deliver the thrill of a live U2 show with accuracy, excitement, and attention to detail that can be seen, heard … and most importantly, FELT.
Out of Control performs U2 songs the same way U2 plays them onstage. Why not the album
versions? Rick Beato says, “They (U2) are one of the very few bands that I’ve seen that does better versions live. Almost every song on the Joshua Tree tour and Achtung Baby tour … the band performed better than the album versions. It’s really incredible.”
Out of Control delivers U2’s biggest anthems and hits as well as deep cuts from Boy, War, The Joshua Tree, Rattle and Hum, Achtung Baby, All That You Can’t Leave Behind, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb and more.
You will not find a band that performs U2 with more passion and authenticity because only U2 does U2 better! Out of Control is available for festivals, theater and stadium shows, clubs, casinos, corporate events and private parties.

Sam (as Bono)

Sam has always been drawn to emotionally charged, melodic rock … and naturally, to U2.
They became one of his favorite bands in the 80’s (The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree) and early 90’s (Achtung Baby), and again in the 2000’s with All That You Can’t Leave Behind and How to Dismantle
an Atomic Bomb. U2’s timeless music and lyrics continue to inspire his musical journey.
Sam has been the lead vocalist, bassist and/or rhythm guitar player for several notable Atlanta 80’s new wave and 90’s alternative cover bands and has performed hundreds of shows all over the Southeast. He enjoys shaping his voice and style of delivery to closely match the original artist, and Out of Control is his first tribute band project.

Pablo (as The Edge)

Pablo started to listen to U2 when he was just a kid. His brother, a teenager back in the 80’s, was just discovering the Irish band back in those days and Pablo would listen to them with him. At the age of 11, his father gave him his first guitar: a Sunburst Stratocaster. Since then, he hasn’t stopped playing music. Fascinated by the delay, he took The Edge’s tunes as his musical challenge. Pablo has more than 15 years of experience replicating the complex sound of The Edge in different countries and venues.

Steve (as Adam Clayton)

Steve’s musical roots began in Southern California. His mother was a classical pianist and after a couple of years of piano lessons early in his childhood, Steve took up guitar. His older brother was a guitar player in a local southern rock band and an early mentor. He encouraged Steve to take up bass as it was more in demand at the time. Steve started gigging seriously in the Washington, DC area when he was in his early twenties. Steve has played guitar and bass with numerous original and cover bands in DC and Atlanta with genres that include southern rock, 80’s metal, rockabilly, new wave, 90’s alternative, new country, and jazz-rock. Steve has been a huge U2 fan from the onset.

Dom (as Larry Mullen Jr.)

Dom’s first vinyl and first concert were The Joshua Tree and ZooTV Tour, respectively. Hence, his involvement is probably not an accident. Upon seeing the Rattle and Hum movie, he wanted to play music and be in a band. A guitar was the first choice. However, while at a local band practice, a drum kit was available for 20 minutes and Dom never looked back. Down the road, influences like Vinnie Colaiuta, Danny Carey, Dave Weckl, and John Bonham motivated him to improve and take on different projects/genres and studio session work in the United States and Europe. In each Out of Control show, the goal is to perfectly channel his first inspiration, Larry Mullen Jr.
